Jibei Island lies 5.5 kilometers north of Baisha Island. The island is the biggest island north of Penghu, and its size is about 3.05 square kilometers. The unspoiled coastlines of several thousand meters stretch out to the sea, sandy beaches and crystal clear seawater. It is a superb island for the sea lovers. There are sea scooters, surf boards and other sea sports gears for rent. These are wooden cabins for overnight stay and beach pool facilities.

To get to Jibei from the main island you take a short boat ride from the North Sea Tourist Centre, which is located on Baisha Island. The boat operators offer package deals that include boat fare, unlimited use of water sports facilities such as banana boats, snorkeling, water slides, and other forms of water activities and a scooter to use around the island.

According to historical studies, Jibei is part of the north Sea Fishing Grounds fishermen were active in the islands surrounding sea territories in as early as the Ming Dynasty, and they had also built a temple here, which is what is called the Wusheng Temple today. Another tourism feature of Jibei is the number of "stone weirs" housed here; there are over 80 stone weirs, more than any other places in Penghu, thus winning the name "Home of the Stone Weirs".
